Secret Sky
Captured in Huron County, Michigan. Some things you stumble upon and then drive hours in the cold, early spring to visit. Secret Sky is one of those things. Designed by Cathlyn Newell, she cut a wedge out of an old barn and then backlit it so at night streams of light would pour across what would otherwise be an empty field. I was just about to give up on the lights after soaking my shoes and socks thoroughly when the lights came on and I had to spend another hour shooting.
Printed on Canson Baryta with a 2” border using archival pigments (8x12s are printed on lustre paper, no border). Sizes are limited due to original file size.
